A way to use available funds.
Smart Card is the proposed spending companion to Smart Wallet. Provider onboarding and capability checks would be required before a card could be created and activated. In a direct-spending design, the resident’s confirmed available wallet balance would support purchases; the card would not create a separate wallet balance.
A proposed purchase flow distinguishes an authorization hold from a posted purchase. An unused hold can be released and a completed purchase can be refunded. Those events could also determine pending, posted, and adjusted Smart Miles under final program rules. The current direction is debit or secured credit; the final structure and classification remain to be selected with approved providers.
